SAD DAY

Tomorrow the cussed stubborn LOVE of my life (56years) will be cremated and the only request I have made is that his Harem Quilt goes with him. Girls from my two online quilting groups plus some who read my blog sent heart squares of love. I made his Harem Quilt and backed it with ladybird fleece. (about 6 years ago) he loved that quilt and turned to it lots this past year. I wont say RIP my love because his ashes will be retuned and are going to sit on my dining room table in the most beautiful vase I can find..HE WILL HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME. He was such a quiet fellow and would say my constant natter made him tired. But now I have a Captive Audience, and my guess is he will agree with everything I say. I LOVE YOU BILL THE SCOT:)

Oh, Sheila, I am so sad to read this. You two were always so close. I like the idea of him taking his Harem quilt with him, and him being there with you, still. Big hugs and lots of love xxx

Sheila and The Scot. I felt I knew him from your emails and blog.
So very sad that your partnership has ceased to be a two way thing, but glad that you are determined to keep him in your life.
I was always sad that my Mum put Dad's urn into her wardrobe, but it wasn't very beautiful - plain green and serviceable.
Very glad that my sister has the two of them together at last, to be mixed and scattered eventually.
You have been my inspiration for quite some time Sheila, coping really well with a mixed marriage - male and female.
Best Wishes for the next stage in your life.
Helen from Hobart
