but it is still a tad too hot for me to enjoy.  So today was spent in the sewing room getting the Chinese New ATC  swap ready for posting.

These are the ATC's.  I usually avoid using words or characters in a foreign language, especially Chinese characters as just one stroke can make an entirely different word.   But luckily No1Son located in Taiwan checked for me.

2013 The Year of The Snake         The Character means Fortune         3coins tied with red ribbon are lucky
and red is a lucky colour.    The Chinese New Year starts on 10th February.   Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later.

The back

and a card for The Hostess who kindly posts the swaps back to me

And 47 years ago today at 5.00 p.m. The Scot and I landed at Tullamarine Australia.  And it was hot.  We went to hostel accommodation for the weekend, and we actually went 10pin bowling at night, so much for jet lag.     But then of course we were much younger.

Looking very good birdy, you are so talented with your stitching and creations. Even created a son to be your 'look out' for you! Lol.
Agree that the temperatures would be way too hot to be outside but at least you still agree that your choice, with your Scot, moving to Australia all those years ago was good. So that is good to hear. Take care and stay cool. Jules xxx
