THE AGE of TECHNOLOGY

may have passed me by ...... The Scot and I both have Mobile phones .... only used vary rarely.  For instance yesterday he had an appointment with the eye specialist and whilst waiting I went over the road to the shopping centre to have a quick look around and then to do the supermarket shopping, and when he came out he would ring me so I could tell him whereabouts I was.   OK sounds good in theory ..... but then we have to have a practice before hand to make sure we remember how to answer the darn things.
Have you noticed the mobile phone does everything but make a phone call .... well that is a bit of an exaggeration but it seems a phone call is the least important thing.
All went well and I was in the Craft shop and my phone went, and this time I managed to answer it first time..... but could we find each other,  hahha  - where we were meeting was outside of Cole's Supermarket, but in the middle of the court there was a coffee shop,  yes you guessed it, we were following each other round the coffee shop.  But we did finally meet up.   Then we find that the phone provider has put Call Catcher onto all phone accounts, this is like call divert,  I wont go into details but we spent all morning trying to remove it...... just google call catcher if you are wondering what I am talking about.  Talk about Big Brother is Watching.

but at least I can sew ....
the second block of My House Quilt is finished

and the 3rd one started.

Awwww - The sewing is breathtakingly lovely birdy, just - well - superb! Love it! So much detail and gorgeous blend of colours..... How I would love to be able to have your talent.

The phone story - hilarious! Like you, I stuggle to make a call but can text quite happily - ping, another one in! These days the letters take longer to do accuratly but I can't do predictive text! Comes up with wrong word most times! Lol. And as for eye tests - grrrrrr..... :-D

Love all your sweet embroidery! Mobile phones, ah, thereby hang several tales! The Ancient One uses his only for outgoing calls, when he gets the itch to harass someone. He doesn't get it that it would be nice to be able to get hold of him in an emergency, to save oneself the trouble of physically running him to earth...

oh you make me laugh! I have a cell phone, but it is rarely used, too. Most of the time when I go to use it the battery is dead! I hope you at least grabbed a drink as you were passing through the coffee shop. Love your embroidery - this is going to be beautiful when you are done, and yes you can! (sew that is!)

We have the same troubles with our phone. I want to have a phone who only can be used as telephone. Not to find. And we always forget to take the thing with us. Your embroidery looks very beatuiful. I love this quilt.

Sheila, Happy belated anniversary. Like you I rarely use my cell phone. To be exact, I don't even know my number. Your quilt is looking beautiful.
