A BLAST FROM THE PAST

Today whilst looking for a special photo, I came across this one.

This was taken about 1980.
Quite a different way of having Christmas Dinner from the first 21 years of my life.   Which were spent in England.
The kids were all on Summer Vacation and the Scot took his Annual Holidays over the Christmas Period.  So with the extra days  we were usually away for about 4 weeks.
I would cook a roast at home, and wrap it in foil and put in the camper van fridge and then on Christmas Day it was heated with gravy and roast potatoes and veggies, and usually followed by fruit salad and ice cream on Christmas Day.

I am not sure if the kids remember all this, but Santa always found us.   Albeit with a great deal of hiding and moving and hiding again of presents.  Many a wonderful Christmas was celebrated in this Camper van.
