not much room for anything else lol.

Today is Garden Party day again, and keeping true to myself, I have made 2 big sisters and 2 little sisters.
I put the tape measure on the photo, as I had been asked what size I was making them.   But I still haven't worked out the size of the finished quilts.

And just look at me, don't I look smug with myself.

The reason for this smug look is the photo below.   I am expecting 3 parcels, but none from England.   So you can imagine how surprised delighted I was to find a parcel on my doorstep this morning.   It did say ROYAL MAIL, well they really don't have to be so personal.    evbg.
But whenever I receive parcels, I never read the customs declarations to find out what is inside, instead I frantically tear the parcel open.   No finesse here.

And just look at this delicious bag sent to me from my csister in England just because she thought of me when she saw it.  Oh I do intend to be remember for my quilts and sewing, rather than my housework.  The Scot says there is no worry about my being remembered for a tidy house.  Naughty Scot.

The photo doesn't do it justice.   It is a beautiful tapestry fabric with beading on.

And this is the inside.

Really much too 'posh' for the likes of me, but it is going to be well love and used.   I just don't know how Jules knew I needed a new bag.  The one I use now, used prior to my new one,  I knitted in 2004.

this was taken when it was first made, only last week The Bag Shop at the local shopping centre had a sign - Closing Down  25% off.   They had some nice ones, but I thought I would leave it and maybe when they get desperate they will be 50% off.   But no need now.

Glad you like the bag birdy - funny that like me you prefer the shoulder strap over the shorter one. I wondered if you might change it....!
Your little knitted bag is cute! I love i, even if, as you suggest,it is a bit worn by now, it started off beautifully.
