just about.  We agreed to be mailed by the 15th of the month.   But of course we understand Life's Interuptions.

The 4 x 6'ers know what trials and tribulations I have been through with my Fabric Postcards this time.  But I have learnt a lot.

Finally finished today, all ready to be posted tomorrow

The thought process
Blue Ocean
Orange brown blue land
Gold chain stitching to portray the Golden Sands
The 1st Verse of 'My Country'
Printed on fabric and then burnt around the edges as in a bushfire
The Verse Part secured down with Colonial Knots (we were established as a Colony)
The Colonial Knots are forming the Constellation of  The Southern Cross only seen in the Southern Hemisphere

and the back of the postcard Describing why I chose the front.....
to honour Dorothea Mackellar  OBE     famous Australian Poetress.

Permission was obtained to quote the first verse of her poem from
The Official Dorothea Mackellar OBE website   ......
where you can read about her life and more of her poems.
